The type 100 is lighter than the type 99. The type 100 has more bullets than the type 99. The ammo pack is on the side of the type 100 on the type 99 the ammo pack is on the top of the gun. The type 100 is better for ambushes. You can not put a bayonet on the type 100 or the type 99. But if you are in combat the type 99 would be a better choice than the type100.
